Founded in 1998, NMSC Kazmortransflot LLP (hereinafter – KMTF) began the difficult path of developing marine science and conquering the Caspian.

The activities related to the transportation of Kazakhstan oil through the Black and Mediterranean Seas began after 10 years. In 2011 two Aframax-type tankers were purchased for this purpose - “Altai” and “Alatau” – with a carrying capacity of 115 thousand tons, both of them. 

Despite the competition, KMTF annually increases the volume of oil transportation in the open seas. During this period, about 57 million tons of oil were transported in the Black and Mediterranean Seas. 

In the first four months of 2021, 3 050 000 tons of oil were transported in the open seas, and the plan was fulfilled by 186%. In May (as at 14^th of May, 2021) 4 ship's voyage occurred and 352 thousand tons of oil were transported, the plan was fulfilled by 191%.
