On July 26 this year in Nur-Sultan the Chairman of the Board of JSC NC "KazMunayGas" (hereinafter - KMG) Alik Aidarbayev and the General Director of "NC "Kazmortransflot" LLP (hereinafter - KMTF) Aidar Orzhanov met with the Governor of Astrakhan region Igor Babushkin.

During the talks they discussed cooperation in the transport and logistics, oil and gas and shipbuilding industries.

Aidar Orzhanov said that KMTF built 6 tankers of a class with cargo lifting capacity up to 13 thousand tons for transportation of oil and oil products between ports of the Caspian Sea, and 8 barge platforms with cargo lifting capacity up to 3.5 thousand tons, which were used for construction of artificial islands during development of the Kashagan field at the shipbuilding enterprises of Russia. In addition, KMTF carries out repairs and periodic docking of these vessels at Russian ship repair facilities, including in the Astrakhan region.

The Head of the Astrakhan oblast told that the shipbuilding enterprises of the Astrakhan oblast are capable of building jack-up rigs, offshore fixed platforms and vessels of any class and purpose, including ferries, bulk carriers and container ships as well as dredges and small passenger ships.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to consider the possibility of signing documents in the near future aimed at further expanding and deepening mutually beneficial cooperation.
