Daniyar Kapar is the Second Officer of the container vessel “Sunkar” operated by LLP “National Marine Shipping Company Kazmortransflot.”

Daniyar began his maritime career as a seaman and, thanks to his perseverance and discipline, advanced to the position of Second Officer. Today, his responsibilities include ensuring safe navigation, monitoring navigational equipment, and standing navigational watch.

The container vessel “Sunkar,” on which Daniyar serves, operates along the Aktau–Alat–Aktau route, transporting containerized cargo, including goods from China transiting through Kazakhstan to Europe. The vessel has a capacity of up to 350 twenty-foot containers and plays an important role in the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.

“Storms often occur on the Caspian Sea in autumn. It is certainly frightening, but at the same time exciting. Every voyage is a real battle with the elements. A maritime profession requires constant development, knowledge, and full dedication. I have never regretted choosing this path,” says D. Kapar.
