From September 20 to 22 of this year, the V International Transport and Logistics Business Forum "NEW SILK WAY", as well as the Kazakhstan International Exhibition "Transport and Logistics" took place within the framework of the Week of Transport of Kazakhstan.
The business forum was attended by employees and the General Director of Kazmortransflot, A.E. Orzhanov, who made a report on the topic "Marine logistics - a driver of supply chain development".
Chairman of the Board Orzhanov A.E. noted that due to the dynamic changes in transportation business, much attention is paid to the logistics capabilities of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route through the port of Aktau. During the forum, it was noted about the important role of Kazmortransflot in the functioning of the transit corridor focused on strengthening the trans-Caspian route.
"The main activity of KMTF was and is the transportation of oil and petroleum products. Today, due to global geopolitical changes, an alternative to transportation directions is required, including through the southern route. Many years of experience in the Caspian and Open Seas, the availability of the potential of a national carrier makes it possible for KMTF to assert itself on the world market. In this regard, it is planned to build and purchase additional tankers, with the help of which the volume of oil handled will be provided," said Aidar Orzhanov.
In addition, there is a demand for the export of goods from Kazakhstan, which in turn opens up many new prospects in the international arena of transportation.
The participants of the business forum discussed the issues of new trends and their impact on the global, European and Asian markets of transcontinental routes, the role of interstate cooperation in the development of international transport corridors and the introduction of innovative solutions in the development of state transport and logistics infrastructure.
