During Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov’s working visit to the Mangystau region, General Director of Kazmortransflot Aidar Orzhanov, introduced the national maritime carrier’s operations.

Orzhanov outlined the status of current maritime transport activities and KMTF’s plans for the development of shipping. The meeting included discussions on the prospects for expanding the domestic fleet, including the construction of tankers, container ships, and ferries both in the Caspian Sea and Open seas.

The projects are aimed at meeting the growing demand for oil and container transportation, as well as increasing cargo flows along international routes, with completion targeted by 2027.
