Today, September 23, fans, relatives, friends and the sports community gathered at the Aktau International Airport to solemnly meet Bekzad Nurdauletov and his coach Marat Dzhakiev.

They returned from Yekaterinburg, Russian Federation, not empty-handed, but with the gold medal of the World Boxing Championship. Tired but happy, they returned home. At the airport, the athlete and his coach were met according to national custom - with baursaks and traditional shasha.

The World Boxing Championship was held in Yekaterinburg from September 7 to 21. In the final of the world boxing championship on September 21, playing for the national team of Kazakhstan, Bekzad, by unanimous decision of the judges, was recognized as the World Champion in the weight category of 81 kilograms. Bekzad Nurdauletov managed to defeat an opponent from Uzbekistan.

On the way to the finals, the pupil of the Mangistau boxing school was also stronger than athletes from South Korea, Venezuela, Brazil, Turkey and Cuba.

Achievements
Newly made world champion 21-year-old master of sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan in boxing Bekzad Nurdauletov is the winner of the championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2011 and 2012 among younger boys. In 2014, he won a gold medal at the championship of Kazakhstan among senior youths. In 2015, he became the winner of the championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan among youth. In 2016, Bekzad again proved his leadership and won the “gold” of the RK Championship among youth. In the same year, Bekzad won the 2016 World Youth Championships in St. Petersburg. For the next two years, the fighter won silver medals at the Kazakhstan Boxing Championship.

In May 2019, Bekzad Nurdauletov became the bronze medalist of the V Summer Boxing Sports and Athletics of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In July 2019, Bekzad won the silver medal of the VII international boxing tournament for the President’s Cup. Bekzad began boxing in 2009 with coach Batyrbek Dzhailibaev in the Youth Sports School No. 2 of the city of Zhanaozen (in the boxing hall of the FC U. Utesinov).

In 2015, he moved to Aktau and got to the honored boxing trainer of the Republic of Kazakhstan, USSR master of sports Marat Dzhakiev. The future belongs to those who believe in their dream.

Ahead of B. Nurdauletov are waiting for no less serious competitions - the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020. The World Champion shared his joyful emotions and his goal:
- The emotions are excellent, I became the world champion. We will prepare for the licensed tournament and for the Olympic Games. The most memorable was, of course, the semi-final fight with La Cruz. Thanks to the chosen tactics and tips of the coaches - a victory. Now we will try to win the gold of the Olympics.

The President of the Boxing Federation of the Mangistau Region Marat Ormanov proudly noted the goal-oriented work of the Champion and his coach Marat Isagalievich, thanked for the justified hopes and wished the colleagues further victories.

We remind you that the World Boxing Championship was held in Yekaterinburg of the Russian Federation, where according to the results of the Kazakhstan boxing team took third place in the medal standings. Kazakhstan boxers with six awards took first place in the total number of medals won, beating Uzbekistan (five) and Russia (four). There are only six medals on the account of Kazakhstan boxers: one gold, one silver and four bronze.
