On December 19, 2025, the award ceremony for the Eurasian Transport and Logistics Award Magistral Awards – 2025 took place in Astana.

LLP “National Maritime Shipping Company Kazmortransflot” (KMTF) became a laureate in two nominations. Based on the voting results of the Award’s Expert Council, KMTF received the following honors:

In the nomination “Best HR Initiatives in the Transport Sector” — a statuette for the project “Program for the Development of Kazakhstani Maritime Personnel for the Merchant Fleet of the Republic of Kazakhstan”.

In 2024, the “Program for the Development of Kazakhstani Maritime Personnel for the Merchant Fleet of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2025–2028” was approved. The program предусматривает financing by KMTF for the education of secondary school graduates in the specialties “Navigation” and “Marine Engineering” at the Kazakhstan Maritime Academy of the Kazakh-British Technical University.

In September 2025, the first cohort of 10 students began their studies under this Program. KMTF fully covers tuition, accommodation, scholarships, and subsequent employment on the company’s vessels.

In the nomination “Digital Logistics Leader” — a laureate diploma for the information system “Commercial Fleet Operations”.

Since July 2025, KMTF has been implementing a project to develop the “Commercial Fleet Operations” Information System — the first comprehensive digital solution in Kazakhstan covering the entire operational and commercial activities of a maritime carrier. The system is being created as an end-to-end integrated platform that unites maritime logistics processes from voyage planning to completion, forming a unified digital environment for KMTF employees and logistics partners.

The project provides for the use of artificial intelligence and data analytics technologies, including automated processing of transport documents, optimization of cargo planning, risk forecasting, ETA/ETD calculations, and route modeling with consideration of timeframes, costs, and environmental factors. The system is being developed with a high level of integration with port, customs, and logistics platforms and will become the foundation for the digitalization of the national fleet.
