General Director of NMSC Kazmortransflot LLP – A. Orzhanov reported on the work of the company to B. Atamkulov Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan
On November 13, 2020, the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Beibut Atamkulov (hereinafter – the Minister), visited the Mangystau region on a working trip.
The General Director of NMSC Kazmortransflot - Aidar Orzhanov made a presentation on the results of the work as the National Maritime Carrier in the territory of the “Azersun” Production and Logistics Center.
1. Participation in TCO FGP (Tengizchevroil Future Growth Project)
One of the major projects of KMTF in recent years is participation in TCO FGP. During the navigation seasons of 2018-2020, Kazmortransflot vessels transported about 90 large-sized modules (57 thousand tons of cargo).
2. Participation in KPI Inc. (Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc.)
In April-June 2020 Kazmortransflot successfully transported 25 units of oversized cargo with a total weight of about 3600 tons from the Constanta port to the Atyrau port for the construction of the KPI petrochemical complex in Atyrau. In total 42 units of the fleet were involved in the project.
Also to order of KPI bathymetric studies were carried out on a section of about 70 km of the canal, starting from the river Atyrau port (Isker) to the Ural-Caspian buoy. Nowadays about 30 km of track have been explored.
3. Participation in TITR (Trans-Caspian International Transport Route)
KMTF is a maritime feeder line operator within the TITR. The feeder line made it possible to reduce the delivery time of container cargo from China to Europe by almost half.
Over the entire period of operation Kazmortransflot transported about 19 thousand containers (TEU):
- 8 382 TEU were transported in 2019;
- For 10 months of this year 10 613 thousand TEU were transported.
KMTF exceeded all planned production indicators for 10 months of 2020.
Aidar Orzhanov also spoke about the Development Strategy of Kazmortransflot until 2025. Its implementation will contribute to the achievement of the strategic goal of our country, that is to transport a third of all types of cargo by the National Kazakhstani fleet.
