Kazmortransflot (KMTF) - a subsidiary of JSC NC ’KazMunayGas" (KMG) ended last year with the maximum in its history in terms of oil and container cargo transportation volumes.
A total of 13.2 million tonnes of oil was transported, compared to 10.8 million tonnes in 2023. The growth was due to increased oil deliveries from the Tengiz and Karazhanbas fields via the Caspian Sea, as well as the transport of hydrocarbons via the Black Sea. Since KMTF tankers started operating, the total volume of oil transported has exceeded 170 million tonnes.
Container transportations are also showing positive dynamics. Thus, on the Aktau-Baku-Aktau route, launched in 2019, KMTF transported 51.4 thousand or 94% in twenty-foot equivalent (TEU) of the total volume of 55 thousand TEU last year.
In general, Kazmortransflot provides stable sea transportations and develops the transport and logistics potential of the country, including within the framework of the Trans-Caspian international transport route.
