Security in Kazmunaigas:
Our way forward
Tehran Convention on the protection of the marine environment of the Caspian Sea entered into force on August 12, 2008 and that day was proclaimed Caspian Sea Day.
The Caspian Sea is an important source of development of multilateral cooperation of the five countries that have access to it – the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan.
Caspian Sea Day is celebrated annually in the five Caspian littoral countries to draw public attention to the need to preserve the unique biodiversity and ecosystem of the Caspian Sea.
During the Caspian Sea Day, NMSC "Kazmortransflot" employees held a cleanup day, during which the participants managed to collect several bags of trash on the Caspian Sea coast.
The purpose of the action was to draw the attention of residents to the environmental problem of the Caspian Sea.
